Polymorphic Magazine is published every September, featuring all-new short stories and artwork.

In addition to this, we plan to print smaller ad-hoc zines and related projects year-round.

If you would like your work to be considered for inclusion in Polymorphic, please email us at polymorphicmag@gmail.com.

If you missed the submission deadline for our next issue, don’t worry! Any stories or artwork submitted after the deadline will be kept and considered for the following issue.

Detailed submission requirements and formatting guidelines are available above.

Once you submit your story or artwork, it will be reviewed by our editorial team and considered for inclusion in the next issue of Polymorphic.

Selected stories will be given feedback by our team of professional art and copy editors, who will work with you to prepare it for publication. During this process, you may be asked to edit your work.

Once a story reaches its final draft, we pair you with an artist who will read your story and illustrate cover art based on it. This process generally takes 1-2 months.

We will pay a flat rate of $30.00 CAD per selected story.
We plan to increase our pay rates as the Magazine grows.

The exception to this is issue one of Polymorphic, which was created from start to finish as an all-volunteer project.

Art submissions that are selected for inclusion will be featured in a gallery at the end of each print issue along with the artist’s name and preferred social media links, (starting from issue 2 onwards) but are not currently paid.

Cover art is created entirely in-house by our team of illustrators.

Yep! We are a creator-first organization. All materials published in our magazines remain the intellectual property of their creators; we only print with permission.

You’re welcome to ask for any of our current artists to illustrate your chosen story, but we can’t always ensure that they will be available.
Polymorphic is run by a group of Montreal-based professional illustrators and graphic designers. Check out our Team Page to meet each of us!
